Student Flats
We work with different student residences to provide our students with accommodation that offers much freedom and a chance to live with your classmates. Residences allow for you to cook the food that you like, invite your friends over as you like and stay out as late as you like (as long as you don't miss school!). All of our residences have single bedrooms, some with private (en suite) bathrooms, and all with shared kitchen and laundry facilities. Prices vary, depending upon the residence and the time of year. Please state your preferred residence at the time of booking and we will do our best to find you a room there. The most popular choices include:
QMU Student Flats
Completed in 2007, Queen Margaret University (QMU) student flats offer clean, comfortable and modern accommodation, located on their University campus in Musselburgh in the east of Edinburgh. Musselburgh train station (5 mins walk from the flats), is serviced by a regular train service into Edinburgh Waverley Station in the city centre with a journey time of just 6 minutes. Rooms are all en-suite in flats shared with 5 other people.

Completed in 2010 this residence offers clean, comfortable and modern accommodation, located 15 to 20 minutes by bus from Edinburgh city centre and the School, in the Granton Waterfront area of North Edinburgh. Rooms are en-suite single bedrooms (¾ size beds) plus shower room in flats shared with 4 other people.

Home Stay
Home stay is a popular accommodation choice for international students.
This type of accommodation is provided by local families, who welcome you into their own homes. There are a number of benefits in choosing this type of accommodation including:
- You will have your own single bedroom
- You will receive breakfast and dinner*
- You will be able to practice your English outwith the classroom
- All home stay accommodation is carefully chosen and regularly inspected by the school
- Accommodation is located in pleasant residential areas with good transport links
*Meal times/arrangements vary depending on the individual home stay provider.
The price for this type of accommodation is £140 per week.
Hotels & Guest Houses / Renting Private Accommodation
There are a number of hotels, guest houses and small hotels offering bed and breakfast accommodation in the city centre of Edinburgh. Prices vary depending upon your requirements (typically from £30 per night up to £100 per night). If you are coming to Edinburgh for 6 months or longer, bringing your family or decide you would like to settle here, you might like to rent your own flat or house. Student Services can offer you advice about renting a home in Scotland but you are responsible for the property and what this entails.
