Our Teaching Approach at Global School of English

At Global School of English our aim is to help students achieve their aims as language learners and prepare them to be independent language learners when they leave the School.

Courses are designed to meet the individual needs of our students.  We achieve this by keeping class sizes low and undertaking, detailed and comprehensive needs analysis for each student on the day they start their course.  When we know what students' past experience of learning English is, what they hope to achieve while they are studying with us and what they need English for after finishing their course, we can organise the content of classes effectively.

Language is learned most effectively when it is being used for a purpose.  We plan to focus students' attention on language input (reading,listening), language output (writing and speaking), grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.  When in class students will work individually, in pairs and in small groups.

We will check your progress by giving you weekly tests and you will have access to supplementary materials to reinforce and consolidate your learning.

To make sure you are happy with your classes we ask you for regular feedback, giving you the opportunity to tell us what you think about your lessons and what you would like to do more of, or do differently.
