Cambridge B2 First Preparation (previously FCE) is an international qualification officially recognized by thousands of employers, universities and government departments. It is for students at Upper Intermediate level covering reading and use of English, writing, listening; and speaking. Achievement of the this proves that individuals can communicate effectively face-to-face, expressing opinions and presenting arguments; follow the news; write clear, detailed English, expressing opinions and explaining the advantages and disadvantages of different points of view; and write letters, reports, stories and lots of other types of text.
After obtaining B2 First Preparation, students can move on to prepare for C1 Advanced Preparation (previously CAE), the next highest Cambridge qualification. The Cambridge ESOL website provides more detailed information about these exams.
You will prepare for the four parts of the test: Reading and Use of English; Writing; Listening; and Speaking and learning techniques which will help you improve your performance in the exam.
Our teachers will organize practice tests to monitor your development and advise you when you will be ready to take the exam.
As tuition is on a one to one basis your teacher will be able to focus on your individual needs and the areas you require to work on to achieve this.
Cambridge B2 First Preparation Exam preparation
This is a 4 hour per week, one to one tuition course which runs Monday to Thursday 1.15pm-2.15pm or 1.45pm-3.45pm. This course runs all year round.
Cambridge B2 First Preparation Exam preparation and General English 15
This course combines the B2 First Prepartion Exam preparation course above with General English 15. The course runs from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.15pm and Monday to Thursday 1.15pm-2.15pm.
Cambridge B2 First Preparation Exam preparation and General English 20
This course combines the B2 First Preparation Exam preparation course above with General English 20. The course runs from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 12.15pm and Monday to Thursday 1.15pm-2.30pm and 2.45pm-3.45pm.
You can sit the Cambridge B2 First preparation examination, which can either be paper-based or computer-based, all over the world. The Reading and Use of English, Writing and Listening papers are taken on the same day, however your centre will arrange the date for your Speaking test. To take your exam, you will need to register directly with an authorised exam centre. There are over 2,800 centres in 130 countries around the world.
